ATTENTION:  BASEBALL AND FASTPITCH SOFTBALL MANAGERS AND COACHES

YOUR TEAM IS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN - THE 17TH ANNUAL PRESEASON EARLY-BIRD TOURNAMENT SPONSORED BY THE WESTERN RESERVE BASEBALL/SOFTBALL ORGANIZATION.  

The tournament will be for:        9-10 girls                11-12 girls                13-14 girls

                                                9-10 boys               11-12 boys               13-14 boys

DATES:    Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 23 through April 26, 2009.

LOCATION:     Western Reserve High School, Berlin Center, Ohio as well as the township parks in Berlin Center and Ellsworth.

Weekend games may begin as early as 9:00am.  Weeknight games will start at 6:00pm.  Some games will be played at 8:30pm.  Exact times will be determined following registration.

Entry fee is $125.00.  Final registration date is April 3, 2009.   Register early as in prior years the tournament was filled in March.

This will be a single elimination tournament for all boys teams with each team guaranteed a minimum of 2 games.   Teams will need to plan on playing 2 games on Saturday and Sunday.

Pairing will be pulled out of a hat following registration and managers will be notified of times and pairings prior to April 16, 2009.

Teams must furnish their own baseballs and softballs.  Refreshment stands will be available.

This is an excellent opportunity for your teams to get some preseason practice and have some fun.

NOTE:  Should any coach have specific questions, concerns, or requests, please contact Dee prior to April 3rd.  For example, I try to work with teams who have already begun their season, have track or other school conflicts, or are traveling greater distances.  However, following the 3rd, no changes will be made to the brackets and teams may forfeit 50% of the registration fee.
